Dear College Church Family,
Thank you very much for contributing to the College Church Toy Drive. Your support enabled us to give to eight of our community churches at our free garage sale hosted at the University Campus on Saturday, January 21. Many prayers were answered because of your faithfulness in giving.
After attending multiple prayer meetings, praying specifically for nursery supplies, Elizabeth Hospell the Children’s Pastor of Momence Nazarene praised God as she filled two cars full of items. At College Church’s G2 event led by Deborah Mansfield, Hospell was blessed to receive a rocking chair for Momence’s newly renovated nursery. At that event she expressed the great need for toys and supplies that inspired our church to hold a toy drive and host a free garage sale to benefit our Chicago Central District Churches.
In addition to toys and nursery supplies, our church was able to give a welcome center and much curriculum to aid in the building of children’s programs.
“Please know that we greatly appreciate what you have done,” expressed Nicole Cruz of Wildwood Church of the Nazarene.
Cruz’s face beamed as she explained how she desires their church children’s program to grow. She expressed that the church has so many expenses that there usually isn’t room in the budget for toys and children’s curriculum. After filling her van with your donations Saturday morning, she returned that afternoon with her husband and a few lay members of her church to gather more needed toys and supplies.
College Church, please know that God is at work. Your generous giving is impacting lives and building God’s Kingdom.
In Christ’s Grip,
Renee Wright
