As Jesus was dying, he said to his mother, Mary, "Behold your son (John)," and to John, "Behold your mother," indicating that no one should have to grieve alone.  We, at College Church, share that same feeling and offer our help in your time of sorrow and grief.  You need not walk alone.  Whatever your loss, and there are 40 different losses that people may experience, help is offered to you.

Resource Materials are available that are written for your unique loss.  Guidance through these materials as you may need or desire is offered.

College Church offers support for those who are grieving from the loss of a loved one.  Grief Support Groups are formed on a regular basis to allow a person to start as their need and/or desire would require.  Eight weekly meetings of 90 minutes each is the normal schedule.  Pastor Allen Dace conducts several eight-week sessions throughout the year.

The next 8-week grief support group session will begin Monday, September 24, at 7 p.m. at Butterfield Court in Kankakee.  Meetings are followed by a time of refreshments, fellowship and one-on-one sharing with other participants.

One-on-one personal guidance is offered and referrals are given when in-depth counseling is needed.

Contact Pastor Allen Dace  for more information or call  815.933.7749.
